Dynamics CRM 2011 Unable to Sort View by One or More Columns

PROBLEM:
  • You are using MS CRM 2011 and are unable to sort one or more columns in a view
  • Error appears when using the web client.
  • Server is running Windows Server 2008 family, including SBS2011.
  • None of the rollups fix the problem

SOLUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME:

Windows Media Center Blank Screen

PROBLEM:

  • Widows Media Center comes up with a blank screen, especially when trying to view live TV, but you can hear audio
  • You are using Windows Vista or Windows 7
  • None of the recommended hotfixes or service packs fix the problem

SOLUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME:

Unable to Delete, Move or Rename a Folder or File in Windows

PROBLEM:
  • Can't rename a file or folder
  • Can't delete a file or folder
  • Can't move a file or folder
  • You are receiving one of the following errors when trying to delete, move or rename a folder or file: 
    • "Destination folder access denied" 
    • "You need permission to perform this action" 
    • "This action can't be completed because the folder is open in another program" 
    • "There has been a sharing violation. The source or destination file may be in use" 
    • "Cannot delete <file>. It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again." 
  • You are using Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 

SOLUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME:

Dynamics CRM 2011 Cannot Go Offline - Hexadecimal Value is an Invalid Character

PROBLEM:
  • You are using Dynamics CRM 2011 or 4.0 Outlook Client
  • You cannot go offline and the offline process fails at "Waiting for offline database initialization" with error " '.', hexadecimal value 0x00, is an invalid character, Line x, Position x". 
  • None of the rollups fix the problem 

SOLUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME:

Dynamics CRM 2011 Cannot Go Offline - Can't Open MSSQL$CRM Service on Computer

PROBLEM:
  • You are using Dynamics CRM 2011 Outlook Client and receiving error "CRM 2011 can't open MSSQL$CRM service on computer *.*", when trying to go offline.
  • None of the rollups fix the problem
